Matt is Perth teenager who started in photography around 5 years ago when he was playing around with drone modified to hold cameras. This inspired Matt to save for his first drone which would be the DJI Phantom 3. Matt has now also moved onto ground photography while still sticking with aerial photography.

The world is full of amazing photographers, videographers and drone pilots, this can be seen throughout Instagram and various other social media platforms. Today we got the pleasure of asking Matt Bond a few questions about him and how he came to do what he does today.

How did you first get into photography and drones?

I got into photography about 5 years ago when I was using old, modified drones with cameras taped to it to capture anything from a high altitude. After 6 months of savings, I eventually got $500 and bought a phantom 3

Has photography helped you through a hard time?

Photography hasn’t me helped through a hard time but I haven’t really had a hard time to begin with.

What is one thing photography has taught you over the years?

Photography has taught me how to network and engage with people I’ve never met, it’s really made Me into a better person than I was.

What would you say to people who are thinking about or are too scared to show off their work?

Don’t hide your stuff, failure is doing nothing. Winning is doing.

Who inspires you?
