As we near to the launch of the DJI Mini 4 Pro, specs of the upcoming drone have leaked online showing how much of an upgrade the Mini 4 Pro will be over the Mini 3 Pro.

DJI Mini 4 Pro top features

As always, there are a number of ‘top features’ that are used as the key selling points for each DJI drone. Mini 4 Pro has the following as its top features:

  • Ultra-light and foldable | Less than 249 grams
  • Omnidirectional active obstacle sensing
  • 4K 100fps | HDR video
  • 48 MP photo | True vertical shooting
  • 34-min flight time
  • 20km FHD video transmission

What we are excited to see

Looking at the specs above, the two most important upgrades has to be the inclusion of 4K 100fps video and omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. The Mini line only just got obstacle sensing with the Mini 3 Pro, but that was only forward-facing. Mini 4 Pro feature omnidirectional will put it on the same level as the rest of the Mavic line and well ahead of the sub-250-gram competition.

The Mini 3 Pro’s 4K video topped out at 60fps. Mini 4 Pro adds an additional 40fps, allowing for real slow-motion shots at 4K. This also makes the Mini line more comparable with the larger and more expensive Air line of DJI drones.

The DJI Mini 4 Pro is going to be an exciting drone to fly!

DJI Mini 4 Pro release date

Over the last few weeks, we have seen several leaks from videos of the Mini 4 Pro being flown in testing to regulatory bodies and stores uploading Mini 4 Pro related product pages and listings to their websites. This latest leak, with a retail box means the Mini 4 Pro isn’t far away and will likely release before the end of the year. Potentially, even sooner.
