After finding the Mini 4 Pro in the DJI Fly app, we dug around several other DJI apps and have found the DJI Osmo Mobile 7 (DJI OM 7) referenced in the DJI Mimo app. A yet to be released mobile gimbal from DJI.
A surprising find as there has been very little talk of the upcoming gimbal, and a lack of leaks that we come to expect with the launch of a new DJI product.
DJI Osmo Mobile 7
While digging around in the latest version of the DJI Mimo app, version 1.10.4, we managed to find a string referencing the DJI OM 7, related to the playback feature in the app. There is also mention of the previously leaked DJI Pocket 3.
Osmo Mobile 7 release date
If we are going by the release date of the Osmo Mobile 6 (OM 6), we can expect to see the DJI Osmo Mobile 7 to release before the end of the year, potentially alongside the DJI Mini 4 Pro. For reference, the OM 6 was released on September 22nd, 2022, almost a year ago to the day.
We are yet to see the DJI Osmo Mobile 7 come through the FCC, meaning it is quite not ready for release yet. DJI product usually pass through the FCC a month of two before release, when releasing in the US, from what we have seen in the past.
OM 7 leaks
As mentioned above, leaks for the OM 7 haven’t really been a thing. The only mention of the Osmo Mobile 7 comes from an article from back in January 2023, that lists out all of the DJI products expected to be released this year from leaker, DealsDrone. A release date of October is also mentioned.
